Work Permit Application:
Your employer in Romania is responsible for applying for your work permit. They must submit all necessary documentation to the General Inspectorate for Immigration (IGI).
Documents Required:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV): Along with a declaration confirming no criminal record, or medical fitness.
- Medical Certificate: Stating fitness for the job.
- Criminal Record: Must be clear to avoid any employment hindrance.
- Educational Credentials: Translated and certified copies of your academic records.
- Photographs: Two passport-sized photos.
Application Process:
- After submitting your work permit application, expect a response from IGI within 30 days, which can be extended by another 15 days for further verification.
- Once approved, you must apply for a long-term visa for employment within 60 days. Failure to do so will result in the expiration of your work permit.
Renewal and Extensions:
- Your work permit and the right of residence can be extended, provided the employment conditions remain unchanged.
- Renew the work permit before it expires by submitting a renewal application with updated job contracts and medical certificates.
